Fuking aye girl! You got in to MD?!! I'm so proud of you. Supper sweet! When are you going, I'll be in DC for the summer. Argh this is so cool!!!!! You need to email me these things bitch.

When are you gonna be in DC, hussy? (Hussy Marina, not Hussy Jolie). Will you be there before June 1st?

nope, probably after June 18th or so. I still have school on the 1st. It will be like two sad little ships passing in the night.

My ship will have a buffet and comedians.

Marina! I'm much better at calling than I am at e-mailing.... which is why I called the other night to ask when you'd be in D.C. Did you get my message? I'll be in Maryland by mid July, so we will DEFINATELY have to get together. You'll also have to give me tips on how to survive summers in D.C. I am so so scared of humidity. =(

But once I get past my weather issues, I'm more excited than I've ever been to get to Maryland. The program seems amazing and the area seems fun and my cohort rocks the house.

Do you know what your living situation is going to be yet?

Well, I know that I'll be living in a house with four other people, but we are still searching for a specific location. Jenn and I have been looking online and then sending people who are currently in the program to look at houses for us. (Isn't that nice of them to do that!?!)

Meet my housemates!

Dan (found directly behind me on the right in the picture) hails from Boston. This boy is a laugh riot and I fell in love with him at once!

Jenn (found directly right of Dan in the picture) is a native of Vancouver, BC. She is finishing up her last year at the University of British Columbia as we speak. I met Jenn last spring at a conference and had a blast. So fun that our paths have crossed again!

Joy (found in front of Jenn on the right, wearing a blue and black striped shirt) is finsihing her senior year at the University of Virginia. I also met her last spring at the same conference. She used to work with Monica Nixon at UVA, so we already have mututal friends!

And last, but certainly not least...

Paul (found in front of Joy on the left) is from Minnetonka, MN (the same small suburb that Jason Ronbeck grew up in). Paul is officially the social director of the house. Within hours of meeting everyone, he was already planning our birthday parties. Paul is also the person who inspired me to buy my first University of Maryland gear. After our interviews were done, he walked to the bookstore and bought matching "Fear the Turtle" stickers.

Yeah! New people you can introduce me to. Fantastic. I want new friends, mine suck. They don't send me important info in a timely manner :-)
